Loot Online (Pty) Ltd is an independent online retailer. We opened for business in November 2003 and have been growing steadily ever since. At first we sold only books and we added DVDs, games and music to the site in mid 2005. Our aim is to bring the best overall value to South African consumers, while at the same time maintaining high service-level quality. We currently sell the full range of trade, professional and academic titles. There are over a 1½ million different books and thousands of CDs, DVDs and games in our catalogue and we are working at expanding our offerings all the time.

Our current policy is to discount products wherever it's feasible, with most books being substantially discounted. Although South Africa has many outlets that sell discounted over-stocked and out-of-date books, we believe that we are the first South African company with a permanent discount policy on the full range of books from bestseller fiction to obscure academic.
